.spring must be coming soon.

I just know that spring must be coming in the near future despite the bitter cold mornings and nights we've been having (2 degrees??).  I don't mind bundling up and wearing my warm, furry boots and collection of scarves, but when you're wearing gloves and still can't feel your fingers it's just too cold.

Thinking of spring I've been checking the TOMS website and contemplating a new pair, but was sad to find out they no longer have my size in the color/style I wanted.  I love the navy classics I have now -  they're such a "spring-y" shoe, and I'm loving the new Cordones.  Here's the pair I wanted, but I suppose I'll just have to wait...

In grad school news I register for spring quarter classes soon (which is another hint that spring is right around the corner) and I'm ecstatic about my classes - although I can't believe we're presently in week 6 of 10 right now.   This quarter has flown by!  Next quarter I'll be taking "The Brontes" and "Writing as Social Activism."  I'm excited about both of them but, after falling in love with C. Bronte's Villette and Jane Eyre, I'm particularly looking forward to "The Brontes."  A fellow TA and I have already made plans to go see the new Jane Eyre movie when it comes to theaters in March!
